Biosecurity (Quarantine) Inspection for Australia

Biosecurity (Quarantine) Inspection for Australia

Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry Inspections

Australia and New Zealand has some of the most stringent biosecurity regulations in the world. This includes the requirement that every vehicle being imported into Australia is inspected to Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry`s (DAFF) standards to ensure it is clean and free of risk contaminants. Such risks include; plant, animal, soil and water.

Vehicles that do not meet these standards must be decontaminated and treated to rid the vehicle of contamination prior to entry into Australia.

JEVIC has approval from the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry to undertake these inspection in five (5) purpose built JEVIC facilities located throughout the major ports of Japan. Additionally two (2) facilities located in the United Kingdom.

Benefits of completeing these inspections off-shore not only protects Australia`s bio-diversity but prevents delays upon arrival and associated addional costs.
